Pamela Moalli, professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, received the Distinguished Surgeon Award from the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons at the organization's annual meeting in March 2026. She was recognized for both her research contributions as well as her surgical skills and teaching.
“To me, this recognition reflects the power of the surgeon and affirms that it is possible to achieve meaningful impact in both the operating room and in research,” Moalli said.
This lifetime achievement award is supported by the Donald G. Gallup Fund.
