Nana-Hawwa Abdul-Rahman, a medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, received the $500 American Head & Neck Society (AHNS) 2025 Randal Weber, MD Award for Quality, Safety and Value in Head and Neck Oncology.
As part of Abdul-Rahman's award, she will showcase her presentation, “Improving Prediction of Postoperative Pulmonary Complications Following Oncologic Head and Neck Surgery with Microvascular Free Flap Reconstruction,” at the upcoming AHNS Annual Meeting at Combined Otolaryngology Spring Meetings in May.
Abdul-Rahman is conducting multidisciplinary research under Carl H. Snyderman, vice chair for quality and patient safety and professor, Department of Otolaryngology; professor of neurological surgery, School of Medicine; and of bioengineering, Swanson School of Engineering.
