Four students from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine pursuing urology residencies secured early matches ahead of the official Match Day in March. The highly competitive urology match results were announced on Feb. 2.
An additional student matched at the Brooke Army Medical Center for obstetrics and gynecology through the Military Match. The Military Match, as opposed to the civilian match, releases results in December.
Most graduating medical students across the country take part in the National Resident Matching Program and will learn where they’ll begin their medical careers on Match Day 2026. The results for Pitt students will be presented at noon on March 20 during an event at the William Pitt Union on Pitt’s campus.
