These are people with personality.

I loved my interview day at Pitt. I felt an instant connection with my student interviewer. One of my big fears coming to medical school was that I was going to be holed up with a bunch of bookworms who didn’t want to do anything on a Friday night. But I got the sense from the guy interviewing me that the students here really had a pulse outside of labs and study.

My faculty interviewer also seemed like a very adventurous person. We we’re telling stories back and forth. “Oh, I love bungie jumping.” She was right there with me: “Oh, I love sky diving.” and I was like this is a cool place—these are people with personality. So when I left on my interview day, my mom came down with me and she picked me up and I said I don’t even want to interview anybody else. This is where I want to go.
