I put that white coat on and said I'm here.

The white coat ceremony had a lot of meaning for me because my whole family was there. It’s always been my dream to be a physician and they knew that’s what I wanted to do. But up to that point, even though I worked hard and everything, it really hadn’t paid off yet until I put that white coat on and said “I’m here.”

It really signified to me that this is a new start in a part of my life. I was really really happy that I finally got to where I wanted to go. And that was my very first day here.
