You can practice medicine the best you can.

Another thing that drew me to Pitt was the fact that it was pass/fail – well, honors pass/fail. So it takes a lot of pressure off the students because you’re not as worried about your grades – you’re more concerned about learning the material for the sake of learning and so you can practice medicine the best you can.

It also fosters a relationship with your classmates where it’s not competitive, so you help each other more. And they help you so that makes it a lot easier.
