The PBL curriculum was a big factor in my choosing this school. Its been as good as I had hoped. I like the informality. At the same time, the pressure is on for you to nail your piece of the information so that you can teach everybody else about it. You also train yourself to listen, which is a big part of what being a doctor is all about. Im learning medicine and building a set of skills for working with people.
I think that sense of openness and flexibility carries over into the early clinical exposure as well as third and fourth year rotations. The fact that fourth year is almost entirely elective was a big plus. You can practically design your own programdo research, go abroad, community medicinewhich I really liked.
