Pitt has a reputation for recruiting a diverse student body, not only in terms of race, or socio-economic indicators but theres people from a lot of different backgrounds and interests here. Pitt brings in a lot of older, nontraditional students and its been really great meeting them because they just do all these crazy things that I could never have imagined people did before they went to medical school.
But other than that I feel theres a real openness among the student body theres not one person in this class that I would feel uncomfortable approaching and saying hi to them or just asking them whats up theres a good mix of students from all over the country. Theres a lot of Pittsburghers who went off to college and are sort of coming home but theres also a big contingency from California, and a mix of Ivy League and state schools. So people from all over.
