It really sticks with you. You learn a lot that way from PBL.

I really like the PBL’s where they give us a case because when you learn about a disease in lecture, they talk to you about it, they give you symptoms, how to treat it and whatever – you don’t have any association with it. But when they present to you one specific disease and you talk about it in PBL – it really sticks with you. It seems like you know all the facts of it even though you’ve never actually seen anyone sit down in front of you. It definitely sticks with you. And you learn a lot that way from PBL.

It always seems like PBL takes on some dynamic after a couple weeks – you sort of know who’s gonna lead it and who’s gonna sit in the back and say a few things here and there and it all works out. It never seems like you’re going to get 9 people that don’t want to say anything...and hopefully you don’t get 9 people who feel like they have to say something all the time – or you could be there awhile.
