What I like best is that they’ve figured out how to provide an excellent medical education in an environment that’s a lot less painful. The faculty and administration do a lot to make this a student friendly school. A big part of it is selecting a group of medical students who share a certain ethos. It begins with the interview and lasts through graduation—this sense of looking out for each other rather than a feeling of competition...
My decision to come here swung partially on the PBL curriculum but a lot of it was just a gut feeling. I really liked that they had a medical student interview me. First, it gives you access to a medical student and an unvarnished look into the culture. And it showed that the school takes the students’ opinions and input seriously.
