Surprising Pittsburgh

As an undergraduate, you can easily distance yourself and “campus life” from the world around you. As a medical student, you and your environment will be connected at the hip. Our Person-to-Person approach involves a daily immersion in the language, culture, traditions, economics, and beliefs that surround you. Even students from Western Pennsylvania gain a deeper appreciation and understanding of its landscape and people.

Pittsburgh.. Who Knew?

Over the years, we’ve noticed a pattern among prospective medical students who arrive for their interview. First, they scan the blue skies and dense tree cover. Second, they reflect upon the rivers and rolling hills. Third, they point to the downtown skyline and bridges. By visit’s end, they’re rehearsing their “How I fell in love with Pittsburgh” speech for friends and family. Surprised? Of course. Pittsburgh is compact, cultured, safe, neighborly, historic, youthful, and very affordable. We couldn’t think of a better setting for four years of medical school.

I Love Pittsburgh
Jeff Johnson I looked upon the interview process as my one chance to really get to know each city.
