Making the right decision

The pairing of a prospective student with a prospective medical school requires an investment of time and effort from both sides. Only by getting to know each other can we find out if we are right for each other.

Think about the type of person you are and the type of medical school that you feel will serve you best. Many students become experts on rankings, residency matches and research funding. These are important, but they don’t tell you what the school believes in, or what they stand for. And they don’t tell you how they treat their students.

Make certain you understand how your prospective school treats its students.

You should know that we want our students to be happy. That may sound trite, but it's a fact. We are true to our Person-to-Person philosophy, and it demands that students relate to patients as persons. We will demand at least as much from ourselves and work as hard to relate to you as an individual person as well.

One thing is for certain: we are not right for everyone. And neither are you right for every school. We promise, regardless of the outcome, to respect you as the bright and talented individual that you are.
