The laboratory facilities of the Immunology Graduate
Program faculty are located in the University of Pittsburgh
Biomedical Science Towers (BSTs) which house much of the
scientific research of the University of Pittsburgh Medical
Center (UPMC). Our facilities will also include the new
Hillman Cancer Center at Shadyside Hospital. These
buildings have spacious, ultramodern laboratories that
surround a central area for common equipment on each floor.
Facilities for small and large animal research are housed
in each of the BSTs and in the Hillman Cancer Center
maintaining mice, rats, primates and other experimental
animals. Large conference rooms for seminars, journal clubs
and lab meetings are located on each floor. The BSTs are
directly connected to the University of Pittsburgh School
of Medicine, the Falk Biomedical Library, and the University
Hospitals by tunnels and bridges. |
